Jason Statham Bio
Jason Statham is a British actor and former competitive diver. He was born on July 26, 1967, in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, England.
Statham is best known for his roles in action movies, where he frequently plays tough, skilled, and stoic characters. But before he became an actor, Statham was a member of Britain’s National Diving Squad for over a decade, competing in various diving championships.
He got his big break in acting when director Guy Ritchie cast him in the movie “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” in 1998. This led to his collaboration with Ritchie once again in the film “Snatch” (2000), which further cemented his reputation as an action star.
Since then, some of Statham’s most notable movies include “The Transporter” series, “Crank,” “The Mechanic,” and “The Expendables” series. Also, he joined the “Fast & Furious” franchise as a main character starting from “Fast & Furious 7.”
