Ramon Rocha Queiroz Contest History

Ramon Rocha is a newcomer to the professional bodybuilding scene, earning his IFBB pro card in 2018 at the Amateur Olympia Brazil. After that, he took a leave from bodybuilding in 2019 and 2020.

However, in 2021, Ramon burst back on the scene with a 2nd place finish at the Europa Pro and qualified for the Mr. Olympia contest. Later that year, he cracked the top 5 in his first ever Olympia appearance and won the overall at Muscle Contest Brazil.

Then he kept the momentum going in 2022 with 2nd place finishes in the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia, only being beaten by Terrence Ruffin and Chris Bumstead, respectively.

Ramon Rocha had his most significant win when he took home 1st place at the 2023 Arnold Classic. But he was unable to dethrone CBum at this year’s Olympia.

Here is a list of Ramon Rocha’s professional contest appearances and placings.

Ramon Rocha Queiroz Height and Weight

Ramon Rocha stands 5’11” (180cm) tall. And in the IFBB Classic Physique division, there are weight caps for each height category.

For example, competitors measuring between 5’11” and 6’0″ (183cm) can only weigh up to 222 lbs (101 kg). Therefore, Ramon Rocha’s contest weight is most likely right around 222 lbs.

In 2022, news circulated that Queiroz apparently came in 4 lbs over the weight cap (226 lbs) at Olympia check-ins. However, he must have been able to cut weight as he appeared on stage for that show.

During the offseason, Ramon Rocha bulks up to over 250 lbs as he attempts to build more muscle for each contest.

Ramon Rocha Queiroz vs Chris Bumstead

It’s impressive to see how well Ramon “Dino” Rocha performs among the top Classic Physique bodybuilders in the world despite his limited professional experience. His long muscle insertions and round bellies remind me of the late Golden Era bodybuilders like Mike Mentzer.

One cannot help but notice his impressive forearms – among the thickest I’ve ever seen in a modern Classic Physique competitor. Additionally, Ramon’s muscle fullness gives him an edge over the current champion, Chris Bumstead, who has notably short insertions in his biceps and triceps.

However, at the 2023 Olympia contest, Bumstead displayed a much drier physique with deeper striations than Ramon. Chris’s experience is evident in his muscle maturity and poise on stage, which sets him apart from the competition.

When comparing Bumstead and Queiroz, it’s clear that Chris has a larger and wider back, which adds to his v-taper. Additionally, Ramon’s posing at times seems hurried and unsmooth. If Ramon wants to beat the current champion, he must perfect his posing routine for the Olympia stage.

During Ramon’s Arnold Classic victory, he had a more defined and ripped physique than in the previous Olympia. If he can maintain that level of conditioning and combine it with a well-executed posing routine, he could potentially give CBum a run for his money.

Chris’ impressive size, well-proportioned physique, and incredible vacuum pose could keep him on top for as long as he stays healthy. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Ramon will be the one to eventually beat Bumstead and take the Olympia crown.
