A good blender is an appliance you’ll want to use every day. But a bad one can be a noisy waste of counter space and money.
So it’s a good idea to do your homework before buying. With this comparison of NutriBullet vs Ninja blenders, you’ll be confident in your purchase.
And you’ll enjoy creamy, nutritious smoothies that take just minutes to prepare.
NutriBullet vs Ninja: The Bullet Blenders
Bullet blenders are compact, streamlined devices for whipping up shakes and smoothies in minimal time. They are simple to use with no buttons or switches. And the blending vessel doubles as a drinking cup, so cleanup is a breeze.
For this comparison, I focused on NutriBullet vs Ninja bullet blenders since they are similar in size, function, and price. And also because I have owned both of them.
While these blenders are great for personal use, you may want to look at a larger model if you plan to use it for big jobs. Now let’s take a look at each of the blenders.
NutriBullet Personal Blender
NutriBullet is a brand that specializes in personal, single-serve countertop blenders. And this compact minimalist model is the original personal blender.
Personally, I used this blender almost every day for about 5 years to make my shakes and smoothies. So I can attest to its pros and cons.

Design Quality
As you can see, both of these blenders are sleek and stylish. The clean designs mean either of them will look good on your counter. Although I give a slight edge to the NutriBullet for the minimalist look.
As for materials, I also like the fact that NutriBullet incorporates stainless steel. This gives it a high-quality appearance while making it super durable.
Whereas the Ninja’s housing is made entirely of plastic. Still, the parts feel very sturdy and well made.
Both are high-quality appliances, but the NutriBullet gets the edge.
Blending Capability
In terms of performance, NutriBullet gets the job done most of the time. However, it does struggle with breaking down larger chunks of ice or frozen foods.
While the Ninja makes easy work of anything you throw at it thanks to a 50% more powerful motor and aggressive blade design.
If creating creamy shakes and smoothies is your top priority, the Ninja is the way to go.
Price
On Amazon, the NutriBullet is currently listed for $49.88. And the Ninja goes for $59.99.
While $10 may not sound like much, it’s actually a 20% difference. So if cost is a factor, then the cheaper NutriBullet might be best for you.
Customer Reviews
Both blenders have 4.7 out of 5 stars on Amazon. Although the Ninja outscored the Nutribullet in the categories of ease of use and blending power.
One of the most common complaints about both blenders is liquid leaking through the gaskets in the blade assembly. This is actually the reason I stopped using my NutriBullet. But the issue didn’t arise until year 5.
I haven’t had the Ninja for that long, but reviews say this issue can be avoided (or at least delayed) with proper care and cleaning.
NutriBullet vs Ninja Final Thoughts
Given my experience with the NutriBullet blender, I can attest to its durability and longevity.
For example, it survived multiple trips in my carry on luggage while prepping for physique contests. At least until the TSA confiscated the extractor blade – apparently so I wouldn’t hijack the plane at blender point. 😂
That 5+ years of nearly daily use and abuse means the NutriBullet is a solid investment at $50. However, its biggest shortcoming is a lack of power which sometimes leads to chunky smoothies.
While I haven’t put my Ninja through the suitcase test, it does seem to be a well-made appliance that will last for a long time.
In addition, the Ninja is more powerful and just plain makes a better smoothie. For that reason, I have to recommend the Nutri Ninja Pro as my top choice.
If you’re on the fence about buying a Nutri Ninja vs NutriBullet… I’d say you can’t go wrong with either. But the Ninja’s power makes it the winner in my book.
